This  neurological screening app aims to give an essential, reliable, objective way of recording the conscious state  of a person / child for initial as well as subsequent examinations. This app uses together the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), pupil size and pupil response. This neurological assessment is used  globally by all health care workers in acute/ chronic medical and trauma settings.  The GCS is composed of 3 tests .
Eye, Verbal and Motor responses  (see scale).
The sum of the score is expressed in the form "GCS 8 = E2 V4 M2 ". Generally brain injury is classified as :*Severe, GCS < 9*Moderate, GCS 9-12*Minor, GCS >=13. Pupil size and reaction to light are important neurological observations.
pupils size should be round and equal in size and withdraw quickly  to light and dilate again once the light has been removed.For example important changes such as pinpoint non-reactive pupils are seen with opiate overdose and haemorrhage.
One dilated or fixed pupil may be an indication of an expanding or developing intracranial lesion.  Once this app is opened it provides the health care worker with the tools required for an initial neurological assessment of any adult, child or infant  in any environment whether it is in the emergency resus room, roadside at an MVA, sporting event, general practice surgery, hospital ward or patients home.
